Circular economy
SONOFET is based on a circular economy system designed to minimize waste and maximize the reuse of resources.
Our subsidiaries offer a complete recycling and recovery solution for plastic waste and scrap destined for the automotive industry, and more specifically the plastics industry.
SONOFET collects, sorts, shreds, granulates and packages plastic materials in tippers, big bags or bales, according to the following process.
Collection
SONOFET offers a comprehensive collection service in skips or big bags for recycling polypropylene or polyethylene waste (PP, PE, PS, PA, ASA, ABS…).
They are collected from suppliers of various sizes before arriving at our plants. The material must be pre-sorted according to quality, grade and type.
Sorting and separation
In our plants, waste is then prepared and sorted, separating materials by plastic type, color and process quality.
This helps us to guarantee optimum quality, increase production capacity and maintain control over the raw materials supplied by our sources.
Grinding and separation
The first stage of processing involves crushing and shredding the parts to homogenize their preparation.
Then, depending on the moisture content, the material to be processed (ground or densified). The resulting flakes are fed into granulators, which transform them into pellets after degassing and filtering to remove residual moisture and impurities.
